Joanne Lindsey
Ceremony Writer & Designer
Joanne Lindsey, the UK’s first nationally qualified wedding celebrant and designer lives in an idyllic location in the heart of Yorkshire, at the gateway to the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales. She has become known for creating a new boutique and personal style of English country wedding ceremonies held at privately owned estates, halls & manor houses, cottages & secret gardens and woodlands, conducting ceremonies across the UK.
Having graduated in design from Glasgow School of Art and worked in the creative services industry for fourteen years she brings a refreshingly creative approach to her wedding ceremonies and designs.
Her inspiration comes from her love of the great outdoors, flowers and woodlands, traditional handcrafted techniques, materials and fabrics and wedding traditions to create a unique style of ceremony writing and wedding designs that complement and capture each couple’s individuality and lifestyle.
Joanne Lindsey is currently collaborating with Japanese Tableware company Narumi and British design consultant Matthew Lyndon Harrison to create a collection of bridal giftware in soft white bone china and glass. The first design for the collection, recently launched in Japan, Honiton Lace by Joanne Lindsey, has been inspired by the intricate 19th century bobbing lace produced in the small English town in Devon.
